FGS Malaysia Dong Zen Temple 2023 CNY Lantern and Flora Festival will be held from January 19th to February 5th (from the 28th day of the 12th lunar month to the 15th day of the first lunar month). During the 18-day CNY lantern festival, we will bless everyone with Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s CNY message “May Benevolence and Harmony Bring Peaceful Wellbeing, Let Abundance and Joy Yield Auspiciousness in Our Lives”. At the beginning of the new year, we would like to invite you and your family to return to the monastery to pray for blessings and to bring peace and happiness home. During CNY, Venerable Master Hsing Yun said,” In the Year of the Rabbit, may kindness and compassion be the key to wholesome outcomes.” Although the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters are still around, we can still live together with right understanding and right thought, so that the world is filled with care and harmony. We can drive away the days of darkness and usher in a safe and warm Year of the Rabbit.
CNY Dharma Services
When you come to the temple in the New Year, you must go to the main shrine to light lamps and worship the Buddha, pray for your family, relatives and friends, pray for the prosperity of the country and the people, and good weather, and more importantly, light your own heart lamp. We also welcome everyone to participate in the New Year series of co-practice Dharma meetings to improve our practice.

“Inspirations of Painting and Poetry”-Cheng Haw Chien Chinese Painting Exhibition, this exhibition showcases nearly 30 pieces of art with unique expressions and cover a wide range of themes. Cheng Haw Chien is an expert in composing poems, in his art pieces, there are poems composed by himself, the poems bring the best out of the paintings.
Nationwide Reading Book Exhibition
By participating in the nationwide reading book exhibition, you will gain value by acquiring wisdom. The nationwide reading book exhibition allows public to gain access to publications of Humanistic Buddhism. Besides Buddhist and spiritual books, there are also Buddhist relics available.

Dong Zen Institute of Buddhist Studies is the cradle that nurtures Dharma propagation talents, it serves as the light that offers guidance to the youth in their lives. The Dong Zen education exhibition allows you to understand the importance of learning the Dharma by the youth. - Dong Zen Temple is located in Jenjarom, Selangor (a small town on the way to Banting), about 50km from Kuala Lumpur, it can be reached by expressway or public transport.
- Public bus: Take bus number 710 (towards Banting) at KL-Klang Station (next to Central Art Square LRT).
Driving
How to get to Dong Zen Temple?
- Southern area: Use the North-South Expressway to turn out at KLIA Toll (Kuala Lumpur International Airport Toll Gate), first follow the signs for Banting, then follow the signs for FGS Dong Zen and Klang.
- Northern area 1: Use the North-South Expressway to turn out at the Klang/Bukit Raja Toll booth and follow the signs for Banting and FGS Dong Zen all the way.
- Northern area 2: Use the North-South Expressway, turn into ELITE towards KLIA, turn out at Bandar Saujana Putra Toll booth, turn into SKVE and follow the signs of Banting and FGS Dong Zen.
